Five Decades in the Making
What started as a single office has grown into one of Mississippi's most trusted title and escrow companies. Here are the milestones that shaped us.
A Company Built on Service and Integrity
Wendall Agee founded Home-Land Title & Abstract on May 11, 1972. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Wendall led the company with a deep commitment to faith, service, and integrity, guided by Joshua 24:15. Under his leadership, Home-Land became one of Mississippi's premier providers of title abstracts, title opinions, title insurance, settlement services, closings, and real estate appraisals.
New Ownership, New Vision
In October 2003, Thomas Harris and Michele Harris partnered with Brad Wilkinson and Kim Wilkinson to acquire Home-Land Title. Though new to the title industry, they brought a bold vision to expand the company's reach into government, commercial, and residential real estate, with the support of a loyal and experienced team.
Rising Through Hurricane Katrina
When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in August 2005, Home-Land Title faced one of the greatest challenges in its history. With offices and employees affected across South Mississippi, the company continued paying every employee despite months of disrupted operations. In the years that followed, Home-Land became a leading provider of title research and closing services for government programs that helped rebuild the Mississippi Coast.
A Future Leader Joins the Team
During the post-Katrina rebuilding years, Justin Saffle joined Home-Land Title as a law student. After graduating, he remained with the company and quickly became a key driver of growth, helping expand residential operations and opening a successful office in Hattiesburg.
Expanding Across Mississippi
As Director of Operations, Justin oversaw major growth across the company, including offices in Flowood, Oxford, and Bay St. Louis. During this period, Home-Land strengthened its reputation for dependable service and became a trusted closing partner for residential, commercial, and government transactions throughout Mississippi.
A New Chapter Begins
In October 2025, Justin Saffle became the third owner in the company's history. His acquisition marked the beginning of a new era focused on operational excellence, modern technology, and an even stronger commitment to the people and partners who made the company what it is today.

Now operating as Title HQ, the company is building on more than five decades of trusted service. With advanced technology, exceptional people, and a clear vision for the future, Title HQ is becoming Mississippi's central hub for modern, personalized closings.
